Ödev Odak Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to the Ödev Odak iPhone and iPad app, its servers and the homework tracking, Google Classroom connection, cloud backup, parent connection, focus mode and photo check features offered through it (together, the “Service”). By downloading, opening or using the App you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

This text is not legal advice. Before publication, the publisher name, contact details, paid features, governing law and mandatory consumer rights should be completed with the actual business details and reviewed by a legal adviser.

1. Eligibility and account

To use the Service you must comply with the Apple or Google sign-in terms for your account. You are responsible for giving accurate and current information, protecting your sign-in details and for activity carried out through your account.

The preview without an account is for basic on-device homework tracking. Features such as cloud backup, Classroom, the parent connection and the photo check may require sign-in, permission or separate consent.

When setting up a parent connection, only pair with someone you are genuinely entitled to pair with. Do not share the pairing code with others. Confirm the other person’s identity before accepting a connection.

2. Scope of the service

Ödev Odak lets you create, edit, schedule and list homework, import it from Classroom, create a focus limit on the device and run a limited automatic check with homework photos you select. The Service:

• is not your school’s or teacher’s official system;
• does not replace Google Classroom;
• does not turn work in to Classroom, grade it or guarantee teacher approval;
• does not conclusively determine every page of an assignment, whether an answer is correct or whether the student did the work themselves;
• does not guarantee that Apple Screen Time or FamilyControls permissions will work on every device.

Work turned in on Classroom may be shown as turned in in the App; it is shown separately if that record was not verified with photos. The photo check in the App does not upload files to Classroom or turn anything in there; if submission is required, complete it in Google Classroom.

3. Homework details and photos

You are responsible for checking the assignment name, subject, content and due date before saving and correcting them where needed. Text read from a photo may be a draft with errors, gaps or days matched incorrectly. On the add-from-photo screen you can edit each day and assignment individually, remove ones you don’t want and set separate due dates.

Before starting the photo check, make sure the photos belong to you or that you are entitled to use them. Do not include faces, IDs, student numbers, addresses, other students’ details or sensitive personal information in photos.

4. Gemini photo check and 18+ declaration

The photo check may send up to four sample photos you submit in the App, together with the related homework metadata, to an automatic AI service. The result may be completed, incomplete/unclear or a connection/error result. Results are for assistance only; they are not a teacher’s assessment, an official submission or proof of academic accuracy.

Age and authorization declaration for Gemini: In accordance with the Gemini API Additional Terms in force, before starting the photo check you must declare and confirm that you are 18 or older and authorized to use this feature. This does not mean the App verifies your age from your face or ID with Gemini; the App does not produce a biometric age verification result. If you are under 18, or unsure whether you meet the requirement, do not use the photo check.

The current Gemini API terms require API users to be 18 or older and prohibit using the API as part of an application directed at, or likely to be accessed by, people under 18. In a distribution with student or child users, this feature should not be enabled until compatibility with the provider’s terms has been confirmed. Adding this declaration to the Terms does not change the provider’s rule. Current text: Gemini API Additional Terms.

The photo check also requires you to give explicit consent to sending in the App. Without consent, no photo is sent. You can review a false positive or false negative and try again with clearer photos.

5. Google Classroom connection

You start the Classroom connection and approve the requested Google permissions on Google’s screen. The App aims to read only the permitted course and student assignment data. A Google administrator or school policy may restrict third-party access; in that case the connection may not work.

Disconnecting Classroom does not automatically delete previously imported assignments from the device. While the App is open, it syncs roughly every minute and when it returns to the foreground; there is no continuous background sync while the App is fully closed. Official submissions, grades and deletions in Google Classroom are managed in Google’s own service.

6. Cloud backup and data deletion

Signed-in users’ homework records may be backed up to the main Ödev Odak account. The Classroom account is not the backup account. Backups may be delayed by internet outages, service outages or device problems; do not rely on the Service as the only copy of important school records.

You can delete your account in the App under Settings → Delete account. After the final confirmation, to the extent technically possible, your account, your Ödev Odak cloud backup, your parent connections and the app data for this account on the device are deleted. Source assignments in Google Classroom and Google account data are not deleted by Ödev Odak; you must manage them separately in Google Classroom. Account deletion cannot be undone.

7. Parent connection and focus mode

Parental controls are optional. The parent dashboard does not open unless the student and parent accounts approve the connection in separate steps. While the connection is active, the parent can see the homework and submission statuses, photo verification status and limited device focus status shown by the App; they cannot access photos, Classroom tokens or the contents of the chosen apps.

Edits or focus commands sent by the parent may sync to the student’s device. If the “Personal focus permission” switch on the student’s device is off, the parent’s focus rule is not applied. Permission and app choices are managed separately by Apple on each device.

8. Premium purchases and ads

• Ödev Odak Premium is offered with these options:
  • Premium Monthly: auto-renewing 1-month subscription, ₺49.99 / month in Türkiye.
  • Premium Yearly: auto-renewing 1-year subscription, ₺349.99 / year in Türkiye.
  • Premium Lifetime: one-time purchase; does not renew.
• In other countries the local App Store price applies. The current price and period are shown on the Premium screen and on the App Store before purchase. No free trial is offered.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; the renewal charge is taken from your Apple Account within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription on iPhone in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and there is no partial refund for the remaining time. The lifetime purchase is one-time and does not renew.
• Premium is linked to the Ödev Odak account you purchase it with and can be used on devices where you sign in with that account. Premium cannot be transferred to another account; if you delete your account, Premium ends too. Deleting the account does not cancel an active subscription; you must cancel it separately through Apple.
• You can reactivate your purchase with “Restore purchases” on the Premium screen. A purchase can be linked to only one Ödev Odak account.
• Refund requests are assessed by Apple under Apple’s own terms (reportaproblem.apple.com). Premium is turned off for a refunded purchase.
• Features included in Premium may be developed or changed over time. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
• Users without Premium may see ads in the App through Google AdMob. No ads are shown while Premium is active.
• These Terms apply together with Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA): Apple Standard EULA.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• access someone else’s account without permission or misuse a pairing code;
• upload another person’s photo, personal information or school data without permission;
• break the Service through reverse engineering or try to bypass quota or security limits;
• present fake submissions, fake photos or someone else’s work as your own;
• use the Service as if speaking on behalf of a teacher, school or Google;
• use the Service for unlawful, harmful or harassing purposes or purposes that infringe others’ rights;
• try to exceed the terms of Gemini or another provider, or to get around the age restriction.

10. Third-party services

Apple, Google, Google Classroom, Supabase and AI providers are subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. Outages, access restrictions, policy changes, quota limits or account closures by these providers are outside Ödev Odak’s control. Complying with third-party terms is your responsibility.

11. Intellectual property

The App, its name, logo, interface, software and content belong to the Ödev Odak developer or its licensors. These Terms give you only a limited, non-transferable and revocable right of use for personal use in line with the terms. You keep ownership of your homework text and photos; you grant us the limited technical permission needed to provide the Service.

12. Changes to or end of the service

We may change, temporarily suspend or end the Service for security, maintenance, legal requirements, provider changes or new features. We give notice of significant changes under applicable law. If your account or these Terms are violated, we may suspend access; where possible, we will tell you the reason and how to reactivate it.

13. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided with reasonable care and within current technical means. We do not guarantee that AI results, Classroom sync, backups, the focus limit or third-party services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Do not leave school due dates, official submissions or important homework to the App alone.

Without prejudice to applicable mandatory consumer rights, and except for intent, gross negligence or liability that cannot be limited by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damage, data loss, lost grades or late submissions arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service. This clause does not remove rights you have by law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms if the Service or legislation changes. The current version is published on the Terms of Use page and in the App’s Help and privacy section. For significant changes, renewed consent may be requested under applicable law. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new text in force.

15. Governing law and contact

Mandatory rules of law and consumer rights in the consumer’s place of residence remain unaffected. Disputes are governed by applicable local law and the competent authorities.
